The Seven Sloppy Sisters of Gooseberry Hill

Not long ago, in a town little known,

Lived seven sloppy sisters in their very messy home.

There was Sally, and Sarah, and Sandy, and Sue

Sophie and Stella, and Abigail too.

They were loving and kind, these seven fine gals.

They went above and beyond for all of their pals.

But two things they were not, were tidy and clean.

These sisters were slobs, if you know what I mean.

Sally was a chef. Her cuisine was quite splendid.

The problem, you see, was how every meal ended.

She did not clean the pans, or the pots, or the spoons.

She left out the eggs, the milk, and the prunes.

Sarah, the artist, could make pictures of boats,

And flowers, and castles with deep gator moats.

But she left out her things, to be slipped on and tripped on

Her tubes of paint splattered.  The carpets were dripped on.

Sweet Sandy was handy with a wrench and a hammer.

If something was broken, the sisters would clamor:

“Help us fix it, dear Sandy!” And fix it, she would.

But she left out the tools, and that was no good!

Now, Sue wasn’t clever with tools of that kind,

But a beauty like hers was quite hard to find.

She had lipsticks she applied--any time, any place.

In fact, more ended up on the walls than her face!

Twins Sophie and Stella, identical as can be,

Had no use for makeup - they were tomboys, you see.

They liked soccer, and baseball, and cricket at dawn.

But they left all these games ALL over the lawn.

And last, but not least, was the youngest of all:

Little Abigail – so dainty - and not very tall.

But despite her small size, she achieved quite a feat.

When it came to being sloppy, she couldn’t be beat!
